March 5th - 14th
29th Annual Snowfest of North Lake Tahoe and Truckee
Every spring since 1982, North Lake Tahoe comes alive with ten fun-filled days and nights, jam packed with events and activities for all ages. This year, the annual favorites will be back, along with a hoes of great new ones! On and off the mountain, at North Tahoe's numerous resorts, and vibrant lakeside neighborhoods, there's somthing for everyone. Enjoy on-snow events at resorts like Squaw Valley USA, Alpine Meadows, Homewood, Diamond Peak, and Northstar at Tahoe; participate in special events, parades, races, parties, concerts, theater; and of course, there's plenty of wining and dining to be had at North Lake Tahoe's find restaurants and lively establishments.
Join in and celebrate the fun and frolic of winter! There's no better time to be in North Lake Tahoe. Snow conditions in early March are some of the best of the season, the sunny California days are getting longer, and the night life is in full swing!

Women of Winter on Wednesday's
Join us for a 2-hour all women ski and snowboard adventure that is "on the GO!" This non-traditional clinic will be led by some of our top instructors who will guide you around the mountain with tips on skills and tactics while emphasizing the fun of ski exploration with other women. It's an opportunity to improve your skills, make new friends and experience the legendary terrain of Squaw Valley in a fun, supportive and friendly atmosphere. The groups will explore the nooks and crannies of Squaw Valley in groups of 8 or more.
March 13th - 14th
Silver Belt Banzai at Sugar Bowl
Top freeride skiers and riders from around the world will descend upon Lake Tahoe's Sugar Bowl resort March 13th and 14th, 2010 for the running of the Silver Belt Banzai, a unique race blending the excitement of ski-cross/boarder-x action with the tradition of a downhill race.
March 27th
Rail Jam Invitational at Kirkwood
Local skiers and riders are invited to join us for this rail jam competition after-hours from 4:30pm to 7:00pm by the light of Kirkwood's snow cat fleet. A cash purse will go to the winning contestant with various prizes and other swag to be awarded to other top place finishers.
April 11th
Hike at Almaden Quicksilver Park with Nisei Ski Club
Hike the trails our of the Hacienda entrance & see some of the mining relics, such as the Rotary Furnace, Spanish town, English town, etc. This is a mderate hike that allows you to see most of the sights in this end of the park.
